Australian Water Availability Project (AWAP)

The aim of the Australian Water Availability Project (AWAP) is to monitor the state and trend of the terrestrial water balance of the Australian continent, using model-data fusion methods to combine both measurements and modelling.

Australian Landscape Water Balance (AWRA-L)

The Australian Water Resource Assessment Landscape (AWRA-L) Model is a 0.05° (approximately 5 km) gridded daily water balance model developed by CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology for Water Resource assessment purposes. It simulates the flow of water through the landscape from the rainfall entering the grid cell through the vegetation and soil moisture stores and then out of the grid cell through evapotranspiration, runoff or deep drainage to the groundwater.

SILO climate database

SILO is an enhanced climate database hosted by the Science Delivery Division of the Department of Science, Information Technology and Innovation (DSITI). SILO contains Australian climate data from 1889 (current to yesterday), in a number of ready-to-use formats, suitable for research and climate applications. In addition, SILO provides users with access to climate change projections data for 2030 and 2050 in a daily format
